Farmer's market a real family affair

Chad Robinson, from Ottawa, brought his young daughter to the Stanley Bridge Centre’s farmer’s market on Wednesday, Aug 26. The market regularly draws many visitors, young and old, and all ages in between, from across the Island, the country and even as far away as Australia. 004The market runs 9 am to 1 pm, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

150th anniversary to be celebrated this weekend

Join us at the Stanley Bridge Centre Friday to help celebrate the 150th anniversary of the naming of Stanley Bridge. The Stanley Bridge Centre is hosting a quilt, art and crafts show on Friday, Aug 21 as well as events tied to the opening of River Days (running Aug 21-23). Quilt, arts and craft show on Friday, Aug 21

One of the highlights of the summer season is almost here. The Stanley Bridge Centre is once again hosting a quilt, arts and crafts show, part of River Days. The show will be held on Friday, Aug 21, running 9 am to 2 pm . Anyone interested in participating, by displaying and, or selling their works, is welcome. Stanley Bridge Centre Annual General Meeting on Aug 20

You are invited to attend the Stanley Bridge Place Annual General Meeting on Thursday August 20, 2015.
Doors will be open at 6:30 PM and the meeting at 7 PM.
Membership will be available and coffee, tea, drinks and sandwiches served.
Everyone is welcome to attend.

Fiddler makes for entertaining farmer's market

003Fiddler Jason Campbell, son of vendors Bruce and Elda Campbell (Bruce and Elda Veggies and Preserves),015 provided some rousing, toe-tapping entertainment for visitors to Wednesday’s farmer’s market. His parents’ stall, which featured preserved veggies, proved to be a popular attraction for visitors young and old.
