Chad Robinson, from Ottawa, brought his young daughter to the Stanley Bridge Centre’s farmer’s market on Wednesday, Aug 26. The market regularly draws many visitors, young and old, and all ages in between, from across the Island, the country and even as far away as Australia. The market runs 9 am to 1 pm, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
Join us at the Stanley Bridge Centre Friday to help celebrate the 150th anniversary of the naming of Stanley Bridge. The Stanley Bridge Centre is hosting a quilt, art and crafts show on Friday, Aug 21 as well as events tied to the opening of River Days (running Aug 21-23). A farmer’s market is also slated for Saturday.

Fiddler Jason Campbell, son of vendors Bruce and Elda Campbell (Bruce and Elda Veggies and Preserves), provided some rousing, toe-tapping entertainment for visitors to Wednesday’s farmer’s market. His parents’ stall, which featured preserved veggies, proved to be a popular attraction for visitors young and old.
