Dalton leads history circle

George Dalton, a well known Summerside historian and avid researcher of the life and times of Island mapmaker and innovator Samuel L. Holland, led a fascinating history circle discussion at the Stanley Bridge Centre recently. Holland is a famous ancestor of Dalton’s. History circles will be held on a regular basis at the Stanley Bridge Centre and everyone is invited to attend, free of charge. DSC_0009 (1)

AGM on Wednesday, July 13 at 7 pm

The annual general meeting of the Stanley Bridge Memorial Society Inc., will be held Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at 7 pm at the Stanley Bridge Centre (SBC), 9979, Rte 6 (by the gas station). The public is welcome to attend. Also, a farmer’s market runs at the SBC Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 9 am to 1 pm, starting July 2 and a Sunday concert series featuring the Johnny Oliver Band and other performers will run throughout July and August.

Farmer's market open for season

The Stanley Bridge Centre’s farmer’s market is open for the season, running Saturdays and Wednesdays, 9 am to 1 pm, for the rest of the summer. Featuring a variety of vendors, the market has been a draw for people of all ages, including parents and their hungry children. Lots of wonderful things to enjoy at the SBC this summer. DSC_0006 (1)

Johnny Oliver Band rocks it at Sunday concert series opening

Members of the Johnny Oliver Band, including Dakota Oliver, providing stirring vocals, rocked onlookers at the Stanley Bridge Centre Sunday, July 3, the opening of the Sunday night concert series at the SBC. The next performance is July 17, when the Johnny Oliver Band will be joined on stage by the Mid-Life Crisis Comedy Tour.
